REVAMIL COLLAGEN
Revamil Collagen is formed by heterologous type I horse collagen, with the addition of pure honey, under form of spongy pads, lyophilized and sterile, easily adaptable to the areas of application.
Revamil Collagen acts as mechanical support and catalyst to fibroblasts migration and to the growth of granulation tissue and provides the necessary scaffold to natural derma regeneration. The honey contains a high concentration of honey enzymes; while initially the osmotic effect of the honey sugars protects the wound against bacteria and forms a protective layer. The honey creates the ideal moist wound environment that facilitates the natural debridement of the wound and, combined with collagen, facilitates the granulation tissue formation.
The combination collagen+honey results in a layer which helps to strengthen the antibacterial protection of the dressing, favouring the natural healing process
Revamil® Collagen key characteristics are:
- Growth of granulation tissue, provides necessary scaffold to regeneration
- Protection against bacteria. Factors that contribute to the protection are the low pH, the enzymes in the honey, and the low activity of water and high sugar content.
- The combination collagen+honey strengthens the antibacterial protection and favours the natural healing process

6. Fix the pad to the lesion by means of a sterile gauze or a non-adherent dressing, then apply elastic compression bandage.
7. It is recommended to apply the dressing every 3-4 days or at smaller intervals, depending on the wound exudate. The wound should be monitored every 2-3 days.
8. To maintain a humid microclimate cover ideally with more or less absorbent secondary dressing depending on the level of exudate and apply a bandage.
REVAMIL MELGINATE
Revamil Melginate is a calcium alginate sheet impregnated with pure honey produced under controlled conditions. The carefully controlled production process guarantees that Revamil Melginate with honey does not contain any traces of pesticides and that the same quality can be reproduced consistently. When Revamil Melginate is applied on exudating wounds a gel is formed by absorption of wound fluid which protects the wound against maceration.
Due to the properties of the alginate applied, i.e. the alginate is fast gelling, non-dispersible and has a high wet integrity, the alginate gel covers the wound and maintains a moist wound environment.
The alginate sheet impregnated with honey, before and after gelling, protects the wound against bacterial ingress. The gel facilitates easy dressing change because it does not stick to wound and no residues remain in the wound after removal.
Revamil® Melginate key characteristics are:
- High moisture absorption capacity for use on low to high exudating wounds
- Protection against wound infections. Factors that contribute to the antibacterial protection are the low pH, the enzymes in the honey, and the low activity of water and high sugar content.
- Fast gel formation for maintenance of mois wound environment
- Borders of alginate are not impregnated to maintain high absorption capacity and to prevent maceration
To use for: infected wounds, surgery and radiation induced oncological wounds, different types of exudating wounds, bed sores, different kinds of ulcers, minor (1rst- and 2nd degree) burns
